East Bay HOA Saves $49,000 Annually

HOA Save Money on Water

Cagwin & Dorward employs over 25 CLCA Certified Water Managers. They have proven they can save you water and money! Javier Murillo, C&D Account Manager and CLCA Certified Water Manager, has certainly proven it to this HOA located in the East Bay. Through constant monitoring and fine-tuning of irrigation programming, Javier and his team have saved this customer $49,000 and 12 million gallons of water annually by watering 56% under the water budget mandated by the East Bay Municipal Utility District.

Water Smart Success Story - Harbor Bay Business Park

Harbor Bay Medians

For decades, the landscape medians along Harbor Bay Parkway were sucking up water, using three times more water than was needed to keep the grass looking green. The sprinkler system was watering the landscape inefficiently, which resulted in irrigation run-off and overspray.

Landscape architects from April Philips Design Works and landscape contractor Cagwin & Dorward assisted the Harbor Bay Business Park Association in the design and installation of a new Bay-Friendly certified landscape. Bay-Friendly practices foster soil health, conserve water, and reduce waste and pollution.

The Godmother’s Pumpkin Patch

Godmothers pumpkin patch

Over the last several years, Cagwin & Dorward has been pleased to partner with The Godmother’s of Timothy Murphy School to help decorate their annual Pumpkin Patch’s entry.

This year, a C&D crew installed Palm trees and various plants to accessorize the photo stand-in, painted by one of the Godmothers.

Open to the public from 10:00am - 5:30pm, October 6th- 28th (closed Mon & Tues), the patch includes not only pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors; but a bouncy house, jumbo slide, and more!

2012 Coastal Cleanup

Becoming part of the Solution to Marine Pollution!

Cagwin & Dorward's Green Office Team (the GO Team) once again coordinated a C&D community service event in conjunction with the California Coastal Cleanup Day.

This was C&D's 4th year of volunteering to rid our beaches of trash and debris.
