International Arbor Day - April 26th

April 15, 2013

Arbor Day is a national holiday to encourage the care and planting of trees. It is celebrated on the last Friday in April. This year it is April 26th.

For the homeowner, Arbor Day is an excellent opportunity to take stock of the trees on your property and plan for the future. At Cagwin & Dorward, every day is an unofficial Arbor Day.

What are you doing to celebrate and honor the endless benefits trees provide?  Here are some suggestions:

  1. Plant a tree in your yard
  2. Talk to your children about the importance of trees
  3. Donate a tree to your child’s school or for a community planting
  4. Have your trees pruned
